After 21 years of working with clients in the district Geoff has announced his retirement from the practice effective 30 June 2012. He is off to spend more time on his farm and pursue some other business interests. We wish him all the very best for his new future. In the meantime, it is business as usual at Nortons and Penny and the team will continue to provide high quality service to all Geoff’s clients.

This Movember, to show our commitment to men's health, 6 of the lads at Nortons donated their faces to the cause by growing a moustache for the entire month of November. Their Mo sparked conversations, and no doubt generated some laughs; all in the name of raising vital awareness and funds for prostate cancer and male depression.
Why are we so passionate about men's health?
*1 in 9 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime
*This year 20,000 new cases of the disease will be diagnosed
*1 in 8 men will experience depression in their lifetime

Nortons Financial Services Pty Limited is also changing its name to onePlan Financial Planning Pty Limited.

Legislative changes to the way financial planners and the financial services industry operate in the future has prompted us to review our licensee services and hence undertake the changes required to allow our company to continue to provide a financial planning service to our clients at the highest professional level.

If you have not already done so, would you please sign and return your forms as soon as possible so we can continue to be your financial adviser.
Please be assured that this change in Dealer Group will not impact the structure of client portfolios and is merely an administrative change. We believe that this change will result in improved service to our clients.

Graduation News
Congratulations to Maree Buckley (pictured below) for completing her Bachelor of Financial Administration with the University of New England. Maree attended her graduation ceremony in Armidale on the 10th of April, 2010. This is an incredible achievement for Maree as she has raised a family and worked for Nortons throughout all of her studies. Well done Maree!
