Administration/Bookkeeper – Full Time

Annual Salary – $55,000-$65,000 – in line with skills & experience

Job Summary

You will be working as part of both the administration and bookkeeping teams in our busy office, with a focus on providing exceptional client service.

About the role

With a foot in each of the administration and bookkeeping teams, your role will cover a diverse range of tasks with the opportunity to learn new skills as well as, further develop existing skills.

The role involves:

Administration:

  • Being one of our friendly faces to greet clients and maintain a welcoming office environment.
  • Respond to telephone and over-the-counter enquires from clients to provide information, resolve any issues or refer to appropriate staff members.
  • Support the directors and staff with all administrative tasks including assisting in work progress and completion using established systems and processes.
  • Liaise with the Australian Taxation Office on behalf of clients in relation to various administration matters.
  • Assist with maintaining a number of internal workflow lists and databases.
  • Monitor debtor payments

Bookkeeping:

  • Maintain accurate financial records for various business clients including reconciliation of bank transactions, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Payroll processing for various business clients including employee set up, calculations, deductions, payment of superannuation and ATO filing.

About You

You will have experience in both administration and bookkeeping, a ‘can-do’ attitude, the ability to remain calm in pressure situations and be able to demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • A good understanding of bookkeeping principles
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Competence with various software products including MS Office and be willing and able to learn industry software applications as required.
  • Excellent organisational skills and high attention to detail ensuring completion of tasks accurately and efficiently.

Equally important to the technical aspects of the role is an ability to develop and maintain good client relationships and a willingness to work as an integral part of our team.
