Posted On July 19, 2021

Applications have officially opened today, 19th July 2021, for the 2021 COVID-19 Business Grant through Service NSW.

To apply click here.

The Grant, of between $7,500 to $15,000 (depending upon the level of impact your business has experienced), is aimed to provide cash flow support to help cover business expenses for which no other government support is available. The intention of the Grant is to help businesses survive the lockdown so they can continue to support employment and the economy after restrictions are lifted.

Businesses that received previous COVID-19 small business grants, including the 202 Small Business COVID-19 Support and Small Business Recovery grants can apply for this Grant.

The eligibility requirements are comprehensive and include:

  • A decline in turnover test from 26 June 2021 to 26 July 2021, compared to the same period in 2019 (special rules are in place for not-for-profits and businesses on the NSW border), and
  • A headcount test as at 13 July 2021 – employers will remain eligible if employees voluntarily resign but not if the employment relationship is terminated.

The business will need to make declarations about a range of impacts and are required to provide their accountants details for verification if required.

Applications for this Grant must be lodged directly through Service NSW, but should you require any supporting documents requested, please call our office on 02 6372 6444.
